Things You Should Know Before Hiring a DJ For Your Tucson Wedding Reception
When I receive a phone call from a new bride, almost always the very first question is "How much do you charge?" And my answer is almost always "I Don't know!". The reason I don't know is that until I spend a little time with them learning about their needs, goals and desires...I won't know what they will expect from me.
If your goal is to have a truly fun, exciting and memorable Tucson wedding reception...it will have to be planned that way! And by far and large, the amount of time a Wedding Entertainment Director will spend on the actual day of your event will be the least amount of time he or she will have invested in your event.
Depending on your needs and goals, a Wedding Entertainment Director could easily have a full week invested in the planning and preparation of your event. But if it is true that "the entertainment can make or break your event" then you can rest assured, that their time invested will likely be the best investment for the success of your Tucson wedding reception.
Let's take a look at some numbers. Now mind you, these numbers may or may not fit your event, but are based upon national averages. For Example; the National Average for the amount of money spent on a typical wedding reception, including Tucson Arizona, is $30,000. Now if you break that down into the time frame of the average wedding reception lasting only five hours, that is about $6,000 per hour. Scary when you think about like that isn't it?
Now if you were to hire a "typical" DJ and he or she charged you a "typical" price of $1,200, then you would be paying about $240 per hour for entertainment. If you were to pay a top notch Wedding Entertainment Director $2,500 for a complete package, and they have a week invested in planning and preparation, you would be paying about $48 per hour. Which do you feel would be the best investment into the success of your wedding event?
What you should expect to pay will be entirely based upon the degree of value you place upon the entertainment at your Tucson wedding and reception. If you feel that the success of you event will largely depend upon the quality of you entertainment, then you would set aside a larger portion of your wedding budget on the entertainment. If you are not concerned with the entertainment value of your event, then you could simply call around for the lowest price.
Nobody can decide for you where you should place your wedding goals and values. That of course is entirely up to you...as it should be!
