I began my professional entertainment career as Disc Jockey in 1988 and have performed at hundreds of events since that time. For as long as I can rememberI have been enthralled with “the performance” and haved strived to bring much more than music to my events. With interests and a background in theatre, and a reputation for being a computer and technology geek, I have continued to push the limits towards bringing mobile entertainment to new and exciting levels.In 2006, after more than 18 years of performing at weddings and other events, I made the decision to specialize in creating FUN, exciting and memorable wedding receptions by adding a new level of guidance and direction to my performances. So I changed my business name to Weddings of Distinction and expanded my level of interaction to include the planning process.
Great wedding receptions don’t just happen, and it is in the planning process where all the magic really begins. Becoming a part of the planning process allows the opportunity to personalize many of the traditional as well as non-traditional events to fit the unique styles and personalities of each couple…and steer away from the “you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all” typical wedding receptions.
Over the years I’ve learned that music alone only fills a very small portion of the needs of a bride and groom on their wedding day, and more importantly, they need someone who can guide and direct the overall entertainment flow at their reception. I won’t go into a whole lot of detail about that here, as I have a whole website as well as numerous posts on this blog that are dedicated to creating FUN, exciting and memorable wedding receptions.
I absolutely love it “when a plan comes together” and I’m further inspired when my brides and grooms, as well as their guests tell me that their event ”was the best wedding reception ever”. I spend a great deal of my life focused on weddings and keeping up with the latest ideas. I am grateful that my family is so supportive, a wife and two children, because the time invested certainly cuts into family time. Since right out of high school I have also been dedicated to martial arts training in the art of Kawanabe Karate-Do. So yes, I’m a busy fella, but will always make time to answer your questions and eagerly read your responses.
